MAIN LODGE BUILDING


The main lodge, built-in 2000, is a 3500 square foot scribed log structure.  It houses the main kitchen and gathering areas, as well as four spacious guests suites each with in-room Jacuzzis. The intention of the design was to build a lodge that felt like you were inside your own dream home.  As a result, the building is very cozy and inviting. 
Each of the four suites is large enough for king-sized beds or two queen beds, and contain a full three-piece bath with Italian ceramic tile shower and flooring. 
The two-person jetted tubs are directly in the suite, taking advantage of the river and amazing aurora views. 
Each room has access to a small private balcony or ground level patio. Each suite measures in excess of four hundred square feet.

Along the river bank, there is a floating dock extending out into the river, suitable for both boats and floatplanes. This stretch of the river is quite wide (approx. 200 metres) and the water is calm, allowing for ideal floatplane access.
 
In July and August the River comes to life with two salmon runs.  In spring grayling are abundant and in fall moose, geese and trumpeter swans populate the area.
 
A greenhouse and a large shop round out the outbuildings.  Located in the shop is an 18kw Stamford AC diesel generator with deep cell batteries that are connected to Siemens solar panels.
 
Electricity is supplied by a combination of the generator and solar system, sewage is disposed of via an approved septic tank and field.  There is also satellite television, internet and phone.
 
For those wanting to take in some fresh clean Yukon air, there is plenty in the area to do. In addition to the activities on the river, there are trails for hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing leading from the property. There is one that takes you along the river then climbs to an amazing viewpoint overlooking the Teslin River and local mountains. The second (approx. 2 hours) leads off into the forest and ends at a beautiful set of waterfalls.
 
Quading and snowmobiling are also popular in the Yukon. Light activities such as horseshoes and badminton are also popular.
In the evenings, gathering around the open fire pit on the river banks is also a must.
